LOUISIANA, Mo. – As part of its “Mo Mo the Monster of Missouri” celebration weekend, the Louisiana Area Historical Museum, 304 Georgia, will offer extended hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. Museum co-chair Brent Engel will give short programs on Mo Mo at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The public is invited free of charge.

Mo Mo is the Bigfoot-like creature that is believed to have stalked Louisiana in July 1972. On Friday, July 1, the museum is hosting a concert by “Mo Mo the Missouri Monster” songwriter Bill Whyte at 7 p.m. at the Louisiana Elks Lodge. , 120 N. Fifth. Tickets are 1972 priced at $5 each for ages 13 and up and will be available at the door. Children 12 and under enter free.
